The short answer
For a custom sofa with your own fabric and label, most Chinese factories start at 20 to 50 pieces per model. For an existing model in our own fabric, we can go as low as one pallet for a first trial order.
Why MOQ exists at all
A sofa line carries real setup cost: cutting dies, fabric lot minimums, foam moulds and a production slot. Below a certain quantity the factory either loses money or has to raise the unit price. MOQ is simply the point where both sides stop losing.
Three ways to lower the entry cost
- Trial order - 1 to 2 pallets of a stock model, shipped by LCL. You test quality and sell-through before committing.
- Mixed container - combine several models in one 40HQ. You reach container pricing without betting on a single SKU.
- Stock fabric - use a fabric we already hold to skip the mill's own minimum, then switch to custom fabric once volumes grow.
Price tiers
Pricing normally steps down at 1x40HQ and again at 3x40HQ. Ask for the tier table in writing before you negotiate, so you know exactly how much each extra container saves.
